Appointment of New Chief Technology Officer

Vipshop Holdings Limited (NYSE: VIPS), a leading online discount retailer for brands in China (“Vipshop” or the “Company”), today announced that Mr. Daniel Kao has tendered his resignation as chief technology officer of the Company due to personal reasons, effective October 14, 2016, and that Dr. Bill Huang will be appointed as the new chief technology officer following Mr. Kao’s resignation. Prior to joining the Company, Dr. Huang was most recently chief technology officer and senior vice president of Sina Corporation and had been chief technology officer and senior vice president of PPTV before his tenure with Sina Corporation.
